Solid Waste Management Committee
Solid-Waste management is the collecting, treating, and disposing of solid material that is discarded in our College Campus because it has served its purpose or is no longer useful.
We make use of the microbial additives to convert this waste to compost and is considered highly efficient, as it enhances the production of different enzymes resulting in better rate of waste degradation.
We have two types of Solid waste treatment plants:
- Kitchen (Canteen) Waste Treatment Plant: In this process of composting liquid waste is separated from semisolid waste using two drum method i.e. Upper drum having semisolid waste and lower having liquid waste.
- Organic waste (Grass & plant waste) composting pits: In the process of composting, microorganisms break down organic matter i.e. plant leaves and other organic waste.
