About Department of Public Administration

“Public Administration is a detailed and systematic application of Law.”

Prof. Woodrow Wilson

Public Administration is an activity as old as human civilization. In the modern age, the subject of Public Administration became the dominant factor of both public and private life. it was originated as an independent subject in 1887. Public Administration is a combination of both theory and practice. As a discipline, it studies and analyses the machinery and procedure of government while formulating and implementing policies and that analysis/study gives birth to new ideas, which are then applied to the activity of government to test the practicality as to whether it increases efficiency or not. It is the basis of government, the instrument of change in the society, plays a vital role in the life of the people and it is an instrument for executing laws, policies, programs of the nation.
